So often the stigma surrounding mental health issues and therapy prevents Black women from taking the step of seeing a therapist. Therapy for Black Girls provides a therapist directory, podcast and blog.

Mental Health Information

It can sometimes be hard to tell when a behavior goes from healthy to unhealthy (or even abusive) in a dating relationship.  Information on dating relationships.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation.

NAMI New Jersey (NAMI NJ) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Using education, support, advocacy and public awareness programs. 

The Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) is a statewide non-profit organization whose mission is to strive for children and adults to achieve victory over mental illness and substance use disorders through advocacy, education, training and services.

United Way 211

211 is a free, easy-to-remember helpline that connects individuals and families with important services and resources in our local communities. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in over 150 languages.
